Yeah, you! I heard that you wanted to be an apprentice, right? Whelp, there are some things that you should keep in mind from the get-go.

• You cannot have both an Apprentice and a Gym Leader
  
• Apprentices are allowed to have two Pokemon
  
• Apprentice profiles have to be accepted by their mentor before being completely accepted
  
• Apprentices start out with both the TM from their gym and the badge - they can level up to the level cap on that particular badge.
  
• One of their starter Pokemon is stagnant - it is five levels behind their gym leader's lowest level and is used to battle trainer.

Now that all of that's outta the way, we can delve into some stuff first being...

Being an apprentice secures you as a future gym leader. If the person who plays the gym leader goes on hiatus, quits, or puts their character on vacation, you get to be gym leader! Also, the gym leader can resign and leave it to you.

Also, you get to be trained by one of the best battlers in Kanto, plus you fight a ton of trainers before they go for the gym leader.

What do I do as an apprentice?[/u]
The most basic thing that you'll do is battle trainers that go for your gym's badge.
The rest, truly, is up to you and your mentor.
You can go for the gym leader challenge, but you can't challenge the elite four or champion. This is to make yourself strong, dawg.
If you go and do that, there's a chance that your mentor may get another apprentice. That doesn't mean that you'll be left in the dark, though - you'll still be an apprentice when you come back. Your mentor will just have a bit more to handle.

One of the best things that you can do as an apprentice is have a steady roleplay partner in your mentor - you can pal around like chums or, depending on the personalities, be cold, distant, and always working.
The details of it are all up to you, so feel free to be as creative as you want!


How many apprentices can be mentored by one Gym Leader?[/u]
Two max, and the second can only be brought in if the first takes the gym challenge. Conversely, only one apprentice can run the challenge at a time, and when an apprentice is away, the apprentice will not be counted as gym staff.


Can I apprentice under elite four members/the champion?[/u]
