YEAH, THEY'RE YOUR BOSSES
So you think you want to be the best that no one ever was?
Well then, champ, you'd better pray pretty hard, because these people don't take crap from no one.
How should I train for these glorious battles? Simple. Take a look at the projected levels of the leaders:
Cerulean Gym - Levels 20-25
Vermilion Gym - Levels 25-30
Celadon Gym - Levels 30-36
Saffron Gym - Levels 36-40
Fuchsia Gym - Levels 40-45
Cinnabar Gym - Levels 46-51
Viridian Gym - Levels 51-56
[/ul]Not lookin' so weak now, now are they?
Now, of course you need to know the names, the tactics - everything about these people. So let's see:
Cerulean Gym - Dylan Kent Ghost
Vermilion Gym - Anna Kirkland Steel
Celadon Gym - Denkie Ito Electric
Saffron Gym - To be Filled
Fuchsia Gym - Valeria Saren Fire
Cinnabar Gym - Brendan Ward Fighting
Viridian Gym - Natalia Bloomwood Poison

So... what, exactly, does that mean? It gets lonely at the top, after all. So here's some guidelines to keep you on the right path:
GYM LEADERS WILL
[li] Run and upkeep a Gym that goes according to their own clearly laid out rules (as done by a stickied first post by the Gym Leader themselves).
[/li][li] Clearly specialize with a type, and have at least four in-gym Pokemon to fight trainers.
[/li][li] Lose. Sometimes. Well, you know.
[/li][li] Take part in plots that they are asked to join.
[/li][li] Start with a maximum (minimum four) of seven Pokemon (six for their teams, one as a useless pet/mascot, that may be no higher than level 25 or be used for any battle, ever).
GYM LEADERS CAN
[/li][li] Keep up to two Apprentices to help them with the upkeep of their gym.
[/li][li] Have up to two clearly defined teams - a gym team that will never change in level or moveset, and an 'off-team' that can hold whatever you please.
[/li][li] Furthermore, on that point, a Gym Leader may include TWO off-gym Pokemon in their original profiles (if one chooses to have a mascot, it is counted in the total for off-gym Pokemon). These Pokemon must be CLEARLY STATED as off-gym Pokemon, MUST be of the Gym Leader's type, will count towards the six-Pokemon total (seven with mascot), and may start at NO HIGHER than LEVEL 40.
[/li][li] Participate in site-wide events, roleplay outside of their Gyms, establish relationships outside the Gym, etc etc.
[/li][li] Collect EVO from their Gyms (Two EVO for joining the thread, one for losing, and two for winning).
[/li][li] Assume they own all eight Gym Badges, and level their (off-gym) Pokemon up to level 100 (EVO permitting)
[/li][li] Be deemed interesting enough for the Paparazzi, and be stalked by them.
GYM LEADERS WILL NOT
[/li][li] Neglect their gyms (it is YOUR responsibility AND your priority. Always).
[/li][li] Win too damn much (seriously, guys - you're there to lose.)
GYM LEADERS CAN NOT
[/li][li] Challenge the Elite Four (outside of 'for fun' purposes)
[/li][li] Challenge other Gym Leader (see above)
[/li][li] Participate in contests
[/li][li] Kill the Paparazzi that stalks them.
